A frisky French couple has been fined for bonking in their vehicle in a car park during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The incident took place in the commune of Muret in the south-western French department of Haute-Garonne while the unnamed couple was getting steamy in a car park.

However, patrolling cops in the Lac des Bonnets recreation area spotted the vehicle and went over to check.

Officers reportedly found a half-naked young couple getting frisky inside the car.

According to local media, rather than accepting they had been caught red-handed, the man started insulting the cops as well as France itself by exclaiming: “Sh*tty country!”

As the couple were unable to justify being outside during the COVID-19 lockdown, they were reportedly fined 135 EUR (124 GBP) each for their moment of public passion.

Early last week, the French government announced containment measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 that means residents can only leave their homes for essential work matters, walking a pet and buying food and medical supplies.

Sadly for the young couple, rule exceptions did not include sexual activities in a car park.

As of 26th March, France has reported 25,604 confirmed cases of CVID-19 and 1,331 related deaths, according to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University.

However, 3,900 people in the country have gone on to make full recoveries.
