This young Turkish man seen being given a cake by a young woman and dancing in a club to celebrate his 21st birthday died a short while later in a shocking car crash.
The accident took place at around 2.30am in the district of Nilufer in the Turkish province of Bursa.
Davut Can Duman, 21, celebrated his birthday with pals Alim O., 21, Sude D., 20, and Humeyra Eslem E., 20, at a local nightclub. Later, the four friends left the club in a car driven by Alim.
The driver was reportedly speeding when he lost control and skidded about 50 metres (164 feet) before hitting a barrier on Izmir Yolu Street.
Due to the impact of the collision, the car then rolled over and hit a tree before bouncing into a utility pole on the other side of the road.
The car then plummeted down the steps of the entrance to the Nilufer Metro Station where it came to a rest on its side, as seen in the images.
The accident took place at a time when there were no underground services and no passengers around.
Other road users and eyewitnesses reported the incident to the local authorities and the police, fire brigade, and paramedics were sent to the scene.
Sude and Humeyra Eslem were freed from the wreck by firefighters and sent to the Cekirge State Hospital for treatment where they are said to be in a stable condition.
However, paramedics could only confirm the death of Davut Can Duman at the scene and his body was taken to a local morgue to undergo an autopsy.
Alim survived the accident with only minor injuries and was arrested by the police.
