KUNG FU SLAMDA: Cop Disarms Knifeman With Single Kick

This is the moment an off-duty cop disarms a knife-wielding thug in Brazil with a devastating kung fu kick.

CCTV footage of the confrontation begins with the suspected thief running away chased by a man who he reportedly stole a mobile phone from after slashing him with a knife.

He then quickly reappears on screen as the off-duty police officer, in civilian clothes, can be seen trying to reason with him while backing away.

The cop, despite being armed with a gun, refrains from using it despite the suspect advancing on him with the large knife, choosing instead to kick the blade out of his hand, sending it flying.

Then he decks the suspect with a sweeping leg kick sending him crashing to the tarmac before kicking him in the back of the head.

Then he steps on the suspect’s neck to restrain him to end the confrontation in Taguatinga, a region of the Federal District in Brazil on Wednesday, 26th October.

The 33-year-old suspect – who has not been named – has been charged with attempted robbery.
