A German sex shop which caters just for women has been bombarded with requests for a home delivery service after the owner jokingly claimed on her social media page that she was offering dildo deliveries by taxi.

The number of requests and the obvious demand was actually so high that the owner of the shop, Silke Heimsoth, is now offering the service for real.

She said she had wanted to cheer her customers up after she was forced to close her shop in the German city of Duisburg to customers on Wednesday last week, she said: “I had only wanted to post something funny in these difficult times.”

As a result she posted a picture online claiming she was offering a “dildo taxi” to cheer people up and make them smile.

But she said she was bombarded with requests for deliveries, so much so that the dildo taxi service has become reality.

The taxi service is now driving round the area doing home deliveries of vibrators and lubricant. Payments are made electronically in advance, and no signature is required for the delivery.

She added that she has so many requests that she has had to make sure that only larger deliveries can be made, adding that some people have been ringing up trying to order a pack of condoms which did not make the delivery worthwhile.

The city ordered shops closed until 19th April but at least for Silke business is going on.
