Japanese Gamers 5yo Bottled Pee Causes Biohazard

A Japanese man who allegedly peed in drink bottles rather than taking a break from gaming and then left the urine to ferment for five years created a biohazard zone when he dumped it on a bush in the street.

According to local media, the 42-year-old man was ordered by mum to collect the bottles five years ago and felt it was a waste to just pour it down the toilet, so instead he dumped it on a bush outside the Akashi railway station in the city of Akashi in the southern Japanese prefecture of Hyogo because he thought it would make good “fertiliser”.

The authorities were alerted when local residents reported a foul smell and firefighters on the scene described a strong stench of ammonia.

The authorities traced the smell to the bush and took samples for analysis where it was found that the liquid had elements typically seen in human urine.

They then traced the urine back to a 42-year-old resident who reportedly admitted to the offence.

The unnamed man said: “I dumped my own pee. I thought it would be beneficial as a fertiliser.

“I got it from my mum over five years ago and it seemed like a waste to just throw it away.”

It was alleged that the man was a so called “bottler”, which is the name given to a person that is so busy playing a game they urinate into a drinks bottle rather than lose time leaving their computer to go to the toilet.

According to local media, the authorities have since cut down and incinerated the bush where the urine had been poured as ‘fertiliser’.

The suspect is reportedly facing charges of damage to public property although the fire department conducted their own tests and found that the pee had hazardous ammonium perchlorate and sodium arsenite which could lead to further charges for violating the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law.
