INSTANT CAR-MA: Auto Thief Breaks Neck Trying To Steal Motor

A would-be carjacker suffered instant car-ma when he reversed into a wall trying to flee and broke his neck.

The owner had left the engine running while he popped into a garage office in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.

But security CCTV footage of the bizarre theft shows how the thief crashed trying to shake off the owner as he tried to leap into the moving vehicle.

As the thief reverses at speed, the front door slams into a concrete pillar, dislodging the owner.

But the car keeps going at speed sending the car into a workshop wall and throwing the thief out of the driver’s seat.

The owner runs inside, looks down at the motionless suspect and kicks the man before two workers guide him away.

According to reports, the suspect suffered a broken neck in the incident and was hospitalised in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, General Traffic Department warned motorists that it is a violation to leave a car open with its engine running, advising them to always turn off the engine and lock the doors when getting out of their vehicle.

The police investigation is ongoing.
