The dashcam footage reportedly shows the couple’s vehicle on the Taizhou-Zhenjiang Expressway over the city of Danyang, which is in Jiangsu Province in East China, when the driver suddenly brakes in the hard shoulder and does a left turn on the motorway.
The driver turns across three lanes into heavy traffic and then begins repeatedly honking the car’s horn while heading towards other motorists coming the other way.

In the footage, the woman shouts: “What do you think you’re doing? Are you insane?”
As more than 30 cars swerve past the driver, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision, the woman begins screaming in fear and cries: “Are you insane? Are you insane! This is a motorway!”
She can also be heard shouting “I’m calling the police!” as the footage ends.
Zhenjiang police said they were still investigating the case and had not released any further information at the time of writing. It is unclear if any arrests have been made.
According to reports, the incident began with an argument between the couple in the car, leading to the boyfriend turning into traffic to scare his partner. It is currently unclear what the alleged argument was about.
