This is the moment a woman on the back of a motorbike can be seen repeatedly punching her partner as he drives their moving vehicle and causing it to wobble.

The startling incident occurred in the Setor Leste Universitario area of the city of Goiania in the central Brazilian state of Goias and was recorded by a driving travelling behind the pair.

In the video, the motorbike can be seen with a female passenger sitting on the back and the rider is said to be her male partner.

The passenger can then be seen punching the rider twice in the back and he appears to respond by using one arm to hit her back.

The passenger momentarily loses her balance and the bike swerves before the rider turns off the main road and appears to come to a halt.

Neither of the couple have been identified in reports and it is unclear if an investigation has been launched into the incident.

Netizen ‘michelle prates de oliveira’ commented: “What a crazy woman! She started punching out of nowhere.”

And ‘Franklin Neves’ added: “And people still question the use of helmets when riding on the road…”

While ‘Luiz’ wrote: “Deplorable.”
