British actor Idris Elba and the WWE’s John Cena have been spotted filming the sequel to hit superhero film Suicide Squad in Panama.
According to local media, Cena and Elba were filming some scenes for the sequel to DC hit Suicide Squad this week in the Panama capital of Panama City.
Reports said that plenty of fans had the opportunity to have pictures taken with the wrestler and actor as he was reportedly friendly with his supporters and told them he liked the weather, the food and the atmosphere in the city.
The footage shows the moment the 42-year-old gets out of a car in front of a crowd of fans who receive him cheers.
Netizen ‘carolineelitzel’ wrote on Twitter: “Why did my dad meet John Cena and not me?”
British actor Idris Elba was also spotted filming scenes for Suicide Squad 2 in Panama City.
Elba shared a picture on Instagram on Thursday along with the message: “Panama Selfie. The history here is interesting, it’s like a cross between Jamaica and Cuba with a Miami skyline thrown in. The hat and beard sold separately.”
Idris is a new addition to the cast, along with Peter Capaldi, Cena, Sean Gunn, Nathan Fillion and Saturday Night Live comic Pete Davidson.
The upcoming sequel will be directed by James Gunn and more scenes are to be filmed in Panama City and the seaport of Colon on the Caribbean coast, according to local media.
Local media reports Australian actress Margot Robbie who plays Joker’s girlfriend ‘Harley Quinn’ is also to arrive in the country in the following days.
