This teenage British prankster has been arrested after filming himself climbing a tower block in Benidorm with no safety equipment.

The 19-year-old, who went by the name ‘The Little Nuisance’ on Instagram (his account has since been deleted) and describes himself as a “professional idiot from the UK”, was arrested after climbing a tower block in the city of Benidorm, in the south-eastern Spanish province of Alicante.

Local media report the teenager, whose real name was not reported, arrived in Spain some days ago and recorded himself doing parkour in Levante beach in Benidorm.

He was then arrested on Sunday after climbing an 11-floor building on Alfonso Puchades Avenue.

In the video, he can be seen climbing the building and says “quick little free solo” as he hangs onto the building with no safety equipment.

He then records himself in the back of a police car, saying “there’s no handles to get out and he’s got my GoPro I really hope he doesn’t delete this footage because it’s actually quite funny”.

A clip recorded by onlookers shows him at the top of the building as people can be heard saying “call the police”.

The national police reportedly filed an unspecified sanction against him before releasing him.

Reports state he was also seen climbing a hotel in Benidorm on Monday and a video was uploaded to his Instagram account which is now unavailable. It is unclear if the account was deleted by the teen or deactivated temporarily.

According to a spokeswoman of the national police told Central European News (CEN), “the man was on holiday” and “police acted in this event because the security of the environment required it.”

Meanwhile, she added that the teenager was fined but the amount of money is unknown and that she could not reveal the man’s name due to privacy reasons.

Local police said to local media that in these cases, the only thing they can do is to file a sanction and release the offender, although they said that if the offenders are not living in the country, the fine is not usually paid.
