The waterspout was reportedly accompanied by heavy rains as storms hit the region after a period of hot weather.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory said: “On the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory, there remains the danger of the formation of tornadoes on the Veseloe-Magri section.”

Roads in the Adler area have also been flooded in the storms.
