Huge Metal Pillar Topples On Trampoline Injuring Child

A child was injured when a metal pillar at a scenic theme park toppled over and landed on a trampoline with dozens of little kids who were enjoying a day out with their parents.

The incident happened at the unnamed theme park located in the Qianshan National Park, close to the prefecture-level city of Anshan in China’s north-eastern Liaoning province.

The youngster who was injured was one of dozens who were on the large trampoline nets when the huge metal column, for reasons unknown, snapped at the base – and toppled onto the kids.

The child was badly hurt and had to be hospitalised, but reportedly had a lucky escape and is now out of danger.

A spokesman for the park said the park was covering all the child’s medical costs and investigating how the unsafe pillar had been erected in the first place.

Eyewitnesses said the child was pinned under the pillar on the trampoline and members of the crowd lifted it in order to free the youngster.

In the video, at least one child can be seen injured, with bloodspots on her clothes. She is seen being carried away, while other children flee en masse down a ramp further down the trampoline.
