In the footage, a spokesman for ‘Commander R10’ assures local residents that they will “clean” certain municipalities in the central Mexican state of Mexico.

He mentions that the municipalities of Atizapan de Zaragoza, Nicolas Romero, Tlalnepantla, Tultepec and Tultitlan will be cleansed of kidnappers, extortionists and thieves.

Local media said the areas are also known to be warring ground between members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Sinaloa Cartel, which used to be run by Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman.

The gang spokesman added: “This message is for the people of the State of Mexico, we are followers of Commander R10 and we have come to clean the state of kidnappers, extortionists, thieves and government representatives who support them.”

The state of Mexico has the battleground of warring criminal groups for years and some of the country’s most notorious cartels operate there, according to local media.
