This is the moment a massive brawl breaks out at a concert with revellers throwing glass beer bottles at each other as the band are forced to stop playing.

The fight took place at around midnight at a beach concert in an area known as Puerto Chico in the city of Barranca in the department of Lima on the eastern coast of Peru.

In the video recorded from the stage, a group of concert-goers at the front of the crowd can be seen throwing bottles at each other as the rest of the revellers takes steps back.

The footage which has been widely shared on social media shows several musicians and singers from the unnamed band trying to protect themselves from the violence at the back of the stage.

Reports said the thugs also threw boxes of beer while other concert-goers ran away in fear.

The security staff reportedly intervened and they managed to stop the fight.

No arrests have been reported while the motive of the brawl remains unclear. It is not known if the people who engaged in the brawl were drunk.

No members of the band or concert-goers were reportedly injured.
