This is the moment Arizona cops shoot and kill a dangerous suspect who shot at people outside a busy shopping centre.

The fatal incident took place in the city of Arizona, in the US state of Arizona.

Newsflash obtained the images from the Phoenix Police Department, along with a statement according to which the incident began after an unnamed citizen called about a man who was threatening him with a gun.

The gunman, later identified as Leontae Kirk, 29, was walking around a busy shopping centre where he had interactions with other patrons, the Phoenix police said.

Soon after, a police helicopter arrived and spotted Kirk, who matched the caller’s description.

They reportedly saw that Kirk was holding a gun in his hands and was shooting.

Street surveillance footage shows Kirk having an argument with another person as they both pull guns on each other.

Moments later, officers on the ground arrived at the scene.

Body-worn footage shows three officers firing their weapons and striking Kirk.

He drops to the ground and stops responding.

Paramedics reportedly arrived shortly after and declared Kirk had died from the fatal gunshot wounds.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
