Gorgeous Miss Ukraine queen Anastasia Subbota has had her visa denied in the US just three weeks before the Miss Universe finals amid an ongoing controversy involving the two countries.

The 26-year-old Miss Ukraine Universe 2019 has filed an appeal with the American Charges d’Affaires in Ukraine after the Embassy denied her a visa.

The move comes amid ongoing controversy involving the two countries amid allegations that US President Donald Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart for assistance in digging up dirt on 2020 election hopeful Joe Biden.

According to the head of the organising committee Anna Filimonova, they have written an open letter to the interim Charges d’Affaires in the Ukraine, American diplomat William Teylor, regarding the issue.

Filimonova said the beauty queen went to the US Embassy to fill out her paperwork for a visa to visit the country for the Miss Universe pageant taking place in the city of Atlanta in the south-eastern US state of Georgia between 28th November and 9th December.

Subbota has to be in the US at least one day before the contest starts.

However, an official told her “these documents have already been filed” and without further explanation, the model was denied her visa.

Filimonova hopes the “official was very busy and did not have enough time to deal with the model’s case” rather than believe there were ulterior motives for refusing the Ukrainian entry to the US.

There have been no further updates on the Miss Universe hopeful’s appeal to enter the US for the contest.
