A man who stabbed a 79-year-old cabbie was knifed and shot to death when the victim’s vengeful family tracked him down in a hospital.
Passenger Murad Osmanov was under police guard when he was being treated for a cut hand sustained when he attacked the taxi driver.
But he died in a bloodbath when the victim’s family found him in the ER unit of the same hospital in Vladikavkaz in the south-western Russian Republic of North Ossetia-Alania where their relative was being treated on 11th June.

Shocking CCTV footage of the killing shows two different members of the 79-year-old’s family attack Osmanov.
According to reports, the cabbie’s grandson first stabbed Osmanov in the back and leg while he was being escorted along a hospital corridor.
Then, while he was being patched up in a side room, the taxi driver’s son ran in with a knife.

Video footage shows him hacking at the already-bleeding Osmanov in the chest and torso while three officers try to drag him away.
But as Osmanov staggers to the back of the room and collapses on a stretcher, a third relative walks into the room and shoots him five times at point-blank range with a handgun.
Osmanov falls backwards, spurting blood, and collapses on a set of medical screens.

According to local media, the 35-year-old man died shortly afterwards in intensive care.
Reports did not name the shooter or his relationship with the taxi driver, only referring to him as a relative.
Earlier, Osmanov had been in elderly cabbie Sergei Grigoryan’s taxi when they rowed and the passenger pulled a knife.

Both were cut in the struggle, with the cabbie suffering from serious stomach wounds.
But while the cabbie was rushed to hospital, bungling police arrested Osmanov and took him to the same casualty unit.
The taxi driver’s family was already at the hospital and became aware that the suspected knifeman had been brought there too.

The investigation is ongoing.
