Actress Angelababy – who starred in Independence Day: Resurgence and married fellow actor Huang Xiaoming in a 24-million-GBP wedding – has said internet trolls online remind her of her mother.

The 30-year-old, whose real name is Angela Yeung Wing, is a popular target for online criticism but said it no longer bothered her as it used to after putting them in the same category as her own mother.

She said at the end of the day were trolls was simply people that were nagging at her to change her life for the better, just like a mother.

And she added that she had come to the conclusion that they must “love her” if they were spending so much time following what she was doing and bothering to give her feedback.

Speaking about the feedback, she said: “Years from now, I will be grateful.” Although she also added that despite her best intentions there were still limits to what she could do.

She also said she had learned to tolerate the media more, because at the end of the day journalists were just doing their job in reporting what celebrities were up to.

Popular criticisms of the fact that she has no real acting ability and only got the roles that she did because of her marriage to her famous actor husband.

There is also constant reports that marriage is about to break up after they married in 2015 and have one child together. The boy, nicknamed Little Sponge, was born in their home of Hong Kong.

At the time she married, she also set up her own venture capital fund AB Capital and in 2016, was praised for her philanthropy work that included she had and her husband donating 2.6 million USD (2.02 million GBP) to a charity helping graduates to build new companies.

Angelababy has starred in Hitman: Agent 47 (2015) as Diana, the killer’s handler and in Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) as Rain Lao, the Chinese fighter pilot with the Earth Space Defense.
