This is the moment a grandmother and granddaughter are sent tumbling off the motorway when their car flips over after being nudged at high-speed by another motorist.

According to reports, the 58-year-old woman was travelling with her nine-year-old granddaughter outside the city of Yekaterinburg in the south-western Russian region of Sverdlovsk Oblast at the time of the accident.

In the footage shared on YouTube and viewed 232,000 times, a dirty car is seen using the space next to the central reservation to overtake a white hatchback.

The crazy motorist then pulls into the inside lane and cuts up the elderly motorist and appears to nudge the car that then veers over to the outside lane but nearly collides with a black vehicle.

The driver of the white hatchback brakes hard and loses control of her vehicle. She drives off the hard shoulder and the car flips over.

According to local media, eyewitnesses immediately called the emergency services who rushed to the scene.

The occupants were hospitalised after the crash and the minor is now said to be in a stable condition, however there have been no updates on her grandmother.

It is currently unclear whether the local authorities are investigating the incident.
