The image shows two emojis, a heart next to two praising hands above a picture of Jose Antonio Reyes smiling and clapping as two Europa League cups can be seen in front of him.

Underneath the picture the message “I miss you, dad. 6 months without you…” is written.

Jose Reyes Lopez, who is Reyes’s son from a previous relationship with Spanish pilot Ana Lopez, signed for Real Madrid’s youth program in June of this year.

Local media report the young footballer raised his hands to the sky and dedicated his first goal with the club to his late father.

Reyes’s heartbroken widow Noelia Lopez, 33, has also shown to be grieving after she recently gave a telephone interview to Spanish television programme “Viva La Vida” broadcast by Telecinco.

The interview came five months after her tragic loss where she said: “I am trying to find a way out for my daughters. I am trying to move on like any woman with children in my situation would.

“Remembering Jose the best way possible and nothing else, just trying to move on. Time will make the pain turn into something else.”

Lopez added: “I try to stay distracted and not much else. He was everything.”

When asked about how she felt when she first heard the news, Lopez said she was in disbelief saying: “When I heard the news I could not believe because I had just spoken to him.

“He told me he was going to take a bus at 11:30. I was waiting for his video call but since I saw he was not calling, that is when I found out what happened.”

Reyes and his cousin, Jonathan Reyes, 23, were killed in the crash on the A-376 motorway near the town of Alcala de Guadaira in southern Spain.

His other cousin Juan Manuel Calderon suffered serious burns after trying to save the pair from the vehicle whilst it was in flames.

Jose Antonio Reyes was the first Spanish player to win the Premier League with Arsenal. He was also a La Liga champion with Real Madrid and a three-time Europa League winner with Sevilla.
