A heartbroken influencer has shut down all her social media accounts after her husband dropped dead just hours after she declared her love for him.

Maryam Gouda had posted a series of holiday snaps with husband Mohamed Abdel Latif showing them in woolly hats and onesies.

The Egyptian social media star had gone on to say in the New Year’s Eve post: “It’s now midnight.

“I want to tell you that this is the best New Year in my life and because we stayed together, and I hope we stay with each other for the rest of our lives.”

Yet, a few hours later, the devastated star was back on social media to reveal that her husband had died.

Prosecutors – who ordered an urgent autopsy – confirmed it was a natural death, although they did not give any details.

Ahead of his funeral, the devastated star posted a further message saying: “We belong to God and to Him we shall return.

“Every soul will taste death, oh reassured soul, return to your Lord, satisfied and pleasing.

“My husband has passed away. We ask you for prayers and forgiveness.”

A short while later, she took her social media accounts down after search terms on her name and her husband went viral following his death.
