The astonishing scene depicts a group of onlookers getting hyped over a three-legged-white fox after it appeared in front of them mid-forest.

Smartphone footage captured in Fangcheng County, in the city of Nanyang, located in China’s province of Henan, showed the tourists recording the rare animal on 11th March.

The fox, reportedly an artificially bred one, can be seen staring blankly at the group before continuing hopping forwards on its three legs.

Mr Yin, from the Wildlife Conservation Station of the Fangcheng County Forestry Bureau, said that the fox had been caught by local zoo staff later that day.

It was kept at the zoo following a vet examination.

According to wildlife conservation expert Li Li, the fox was most likely raised in captivity. The expert suspected that it might have fled from a breeding facility or been bred artificially.

The footage showing the white fox gained a lot of attention after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, later that day.

Douyin user ‘Fengyu’ said: “It should be taken good care of!”

Then user ‘Chang Quanlin Mobile phone: 152’ commented: “This is a rare animal in the country. It is very spiritual. You must treat this white fox well. It appears in Fangcheng. This is a symbol of auspiciousness.”

And ‘Mrs. CEO Tiantian’ added: “Missing a leg? ? why.”
