GREAT BARRIER GRIEF: Car Flung 70ft In Air After Crashing Into Toll Booth

This is the moment a driver crashes his car into a toll booth and flies 70ft up in the air before slamming upside down on the road.

The incident reportedly took place at the Shihe Toll Station of the Shenyang-Dalian Expressway, in central China on 24th November.

CCTV footage shows the moment the driver speeds straight towards the concrete at the entrance of the toll station before slamming straight into it.

The impact is so great that it sends the car flying 70 feet in the air before it overturns and smashes on the ground.

Astonishingly, the driver survived the crash and is reported to be recovering in hospital, according to local media.

The case is currently under investigation.

The video was shared on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, where some netizens pointed out that the design of the stone pier at the toll station could easily be mistaken for the entrance of a tunnel and affect the driver’s judgment.

User ‘Triumph Huayi Aquarium’ said: “Slow down at intersections while driving, pay attention to safety first, life is only once.”

And user ‘Qishi Road’ jokingly wrote: “I now know why there is a gentle slope in the middle of this toll station, it is used for takeoff.”
