This footage shows the hilarious encounter a man had with three turkeys that crossed his way while driving as they gobbled at the sound of him honking the car.

The funny exchange reportedly took place on a road in the city of Suqian, in China’s Jiangsu Province.

It was filmed by the driver – named Mr Xu in local media – who made the most of the situation when he noticed their funny reaction to him honking the horn.

He nearly died laughing as the three turkeys raised their heads in unison at the sound of the horn, and let out a loud ‘gobble’ every time it honked.

Mr Xu said that he had never encountered turkeys before, and thought it was fun, so he pressed the horn a few more times before they left.

Later, he shared footage of the amusing ‘meet-and-greet’ on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Netizens were apparently very entertained by the hilarious interaction.

User ‘ya ya ya yo y’ jokingly wrote: “The scientific community in the turkey world has discovered that as long as you stretch your neck three times, there will be a beep sound. The 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics in the turkey world will be awarded to the three birds who first discovered this phenomenon.”
