FRUIT OF WRATH: Football Fan Smashes TV With Grapefruit After Spain Does Not Score At World Cup Match

An angered football fan in eastern China smashed the TV screen with a type of grapefruit after watching Spain score zero goals during the World Cup match against Morocco.

The man, named Mr Yuan in local media in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, took his frustration with Spain’s national football team out on the TV while watching the match with friends on 7th December.

Their evening seemed to have been off to a great start, as the group gathered to watch the game while drinking and eating hot pot.

But Mr Yuan, who seems to be a big fan of Spain’s team, began losing his patience with the players who failed to score a goal throughout the entire match.

And after 85 minutes of waiting, he got into a fit of rage that ended with him picking up some heavy pomelo fruits and throwing them at the TV screen.

He struck the TV a couple of times and left it completely smashed, and everyone could no longer watch as the game came to a close with a 0-0 ending score.

It appears that Mr Yuan was so angry with Spain’s players that he kept hitting the TV and at one point even tried to kick it with his leg while his friends watched on and laughed.

Afterwards, Mr Yuan reportedly had to buy a brand new one to replace the one he broke.
