This is the moment former Newcastle United star Faustino Asprilla receives a speeding fine from the motorway police and worries “all the fines in this country are going to leave me penniless.”

Former Colombia forward Asprilla, 50, posted the video to his army of 695,000 online supporters as he receives his second traffic violation ticket in January.

The video shows the moment several police officers wearing vests can be seen under a mobile checkpoint as Asprilla says “another fine.”

The former footballer turns around and shows his luxury Mercedes Benz convertible with the top off. The video briefly shifts focus back on the checkpoint before Asprilla begins filming several vehicles as they drive across the motorway.

Asprilla says “let’s see how these go” and begins to comment on several of them saying one was going “super”, another “relaxed” and a motorcycle was “disturbing”.

He then walks back towards his blue convertible showing a passenger still in the car. Asprilla is heard saying: “Tiger, you are going to pay this one because two straight fines and in January.

“Nobody’s pockets can stand that.”

Local media report the first ticket Asprilla received was on 15th January. Both are reportedly due to speeding.

Asprilla recently made headlines after he posted a video where he was seen cycling on a motorway which he captioned: “I started training again to see if I can be cute, handsome, and most importantly, a womaniser again.”

He played for Newcastle for two seasons, scoring nine goals in 48 Premier League appearances and nine goals in 11 European matches.
