FROZEN ON LAVA FIELD: Italian Firefighters Rescue Pair Stranded At Night On Etna Volcano

This is the moment Italian firefighters rescue two 22-year-olds who got stuck overnight on the side of the Mount Etna volcano.

The video shows firefighters carefully navigating their way across the snow-covered top of the Etna volcano to guide the two people to safety.

The 22-year-olds had to be rescued after they became disoriented by the darkness after venturing onto the lava flows of the northern slope of the volcano.

The local fire department was able to safely accompany them down to safety.

“Cold, but in good health”, said the fire department of the two rescued people after a successful operation.
