This is the heart-stopping moment four children play on the roof of a high-rise apartment block with nothing but a sheer 150-foot drop below them.

The high-rise shocker – filmed by a neighbour – shows an apartment building in Wuhan, Hubei Province, central China.

In the nail-biting footage, the tower block’s full height is seen before zooming in on four children as they clamber across the building’s deeply sloping tiled roofs.

One can be seen on his hands and knees, leaning over the deadly drop as he peers down to the ground.

Another seems to be clinging onto a chimney and looks down inside as another youngster scrambles over the tiles to join them.

The fourth is filmed striding off ahead over the rooftops while the others follow behind.

Staff at the building told local media that some residents had asked for the door leading to the roof to be left unlocked for access.

Local media reported that the children were spotted and brought back into the building safely.

Caretakers say doors to the roof are now locked.

It is unclear if the local authorities are investigating the incident.
