This is the baffling moment a football team repeatedly scores goals as their own goalpost as their opponents watch on in confusion.
The bizarre incident occurred during a match between Ahbab FC and Rangers SC at the Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi on Monday, 19th February.
Viewers were left in utter disbelief when during the final 10 minutes of the match, Ahbab players, who were winning 4-0, unexpectedly scored two own goals.
Video footage of the incident showed the team’s two defenders passing the ball between themselves before one of them kicked the ball into the net with no pressure from Rangers players nearby.
Meanwhile, the goalkeeper stood far away and could not save the ball.
Moments later, the Ahbab players netted another, even more dubious-looking, own goal, right before the referee blew the full-time whistle.
The match ultimately finished 4-2 in favour of Ahbab FC.
Many were outraged by the event, after videos of the incident emerged on X, formerly Twitter.
One user titled ‘kripal Gill’ commented: “This does not happen even in a practice session. Shame.”

Another, titled ‘Kakashi hatake’, wrote: “Indians need to take football as a sport seriously.”
The incident also sparked match-fixing allegations against the Delhi Football Association.
Delhi FC owner Ranjit Bajaj was among the first to make the shocking claim, by saying in an X post. “I tweeted about it in January mid – no one did anything- again I have been proven right – can you believe they are not even trying to hide it now
@FootballDelhi – these club owners are ruining the game – how the actual hell can we develop as a footballing nation!!”
Bajaj also stated in another post that the association’s main partner was a betting company.
All India Football Federation president Kalyan Chaubey announced that the premier footballing body of India would be investigating the “concerning” incident.
In response to the criticism, the Football Delhi Association meanwhile suspended Ahbab FC from participating in the league until the investigation is completed.
