These harrowing images show firefighters freeing a young girl’s hand from a juicer after she stuck it into the food processor and it trapped her fingers.

She was rushed to hospital afterwards but incredibly none of the bones were broken and medics are now waiting to see what lasting damage will be done to her hand after emergency surgery.

The unnamed toddler, three, is said to have been playing in her parents’ kitchen when the accident happened in the city of Shenzhen, in South China’s Guangdong Province, on 15th March.

Having watched her family members use the appliances to make juice before, the girl turned on the machine while the fingers on her right hand were among the blades.

Her digits were trapped in the juicer, leaving her and her parents unable to extract her hand from the appliance and plastic housing.

According to the local fire service, the tot was taken to Shenzhen University General Hospital where doctors stood by as rescuers removed the juicer from her right hand.

Images show firefighters cutting the appliance with a small saw before her bloodied and mangled hand is revealed.

The hospital said the girl suffered tissue damage to her hand and digits, but she fortunately avoided breaking any bones.

She is in stable condition after surgery, but it was still unclear whether she would suffer any long-term effects from the injury.
