This is the moment a three-year-old screams in terror as firefighters cut a gas cylinder to free her leg after it became trapped in the handles.

According to reports, the youngster somehow got her leg entangled in the gas bottle’s holes while she was travelling in her uncle’s car between the towns of from Balik Pulau and Bukit Mertajam in the north-western Malaysian state of Penang.

Local media said that the uncle was moving his belongings, including the gas cylinder, when his young niece trapped her leg.

A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Department said that they received a call informing them of the incident.

They added: “The uncle drove straight into the Prai fire station to enable firemen to free the girl. We took about 15 minutes to free the child.”

In the footage, the three-year-old is heard screaming in fear as firefighters start the electric cutters to remove her leg from the gas cylinder’s handles.

The little girl clings onto a man, apparently her uncle, and remains still as the tricky operation gets underway.

The child was freed from the gas bottle after around 15 minutes.
