This is the moment firefighters revive a semi-conscious dog rescued from a house blaze and place an oxygen mask over its little face.

Laika the dog, a Cimarron Creolea breed, also known as Cimarron Uruguayo, was rescued from a house in the historical centre of Guadalajara, a city in the western Mexican state of Jalisco, on 11th July.

The two-year-old pooch was found unconscious inside the burning house when firefighters rushed in to save it.

According to the local newspaper El Occidental, the fire started on a mattress on the ground floor which quickly spread upstairs where there was a large accumulation of clothes and rubbish.

Three residents, a neighbour, and Laika the dog needed medical treatment after the house fire.

A 55-year-old man suffered burns to his face, a 50-year-old woman suffered throat burns, and a 55-year-old woman injured her arm when she jumped from a second-floor balcony to the street below, according to El Occidental.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old female neighbour was reportedly affected by smoke inhalation after rushing into the house to help.

When firefighters had safely evacuated all the people from inside the property, they went in for Laika.

The first video shows firefighters trying to revive the dog before giving it oxygen.

In the second video, firefighters are seen going into the burning building before filming the damage inside.

The affected man and three women were treated at a nearby Red Cross centre and are continuing their recoveries.

Meanwhile, Laika is also being monitored until it is confirmed the dog has fully recovered from its ordeal.
