A man named in local media reports as Nikolai Demchenko, 51, who had reportedly been drinking, took offence to the fact that the women dressed as prostitutes were making noise outside his window.

He allegedly grabbed what appears to be an assault rifle and started shooting at the film crew, hitting several of their cars as panicked actors and production staff took cover.

The shooting incident happened in the town of Prokhladny in the remote Russian Kabardino-Balkar Republic where director Eduard Hovhannisyan was working on a scene using the actresses Irina Gorbacheva, 31, and Kristina Mironenko were involved in filming.

However, boozed up Demchenko was far from impressed about the fact that there were prostitutes making noise in his backyard, and opening up a window in his third-floor flat, he allegedly started firing indiscriminately at the film crew.

Although nobody was hit, an ambulance was called when actress Kristina suffered a panic attack and needed to be hospitalised.

The film’s director meanwhile insisted the show will go on, saying: “Despite the disruption we continue to shoot. No harm done. A man fired at our cars and was arrested by the police.”
