This is the shocking moment two parents and their five children are seen riding along a city street all piled onto the same motorbike with no helmets.

The incident was filmed by a stunned motorist on Seyh Samil Street in the district of Dulkadiroglu in the southern Turkish province of Kahramanmaras and shared on social media.

According to local media, there were five children travelling with the parents on the small motorcycle and only one of them was wearing a helmet.

Reports said there were two sons, two daughters and a baby speeding along the road with their mum and dad.

The family-of-seven sped away from the filming motorist and it is believed they arrived at their destination without accident, according to local media.

Netizens had a lot to say about the hair-raising bike journey, with many Turks claiming that it was a family of Syrian migrants.

Social media user ‘KMaras’ commented: “I do not think they are from Kahramanmaras, they look like Syrian refugees to me.

‘ArtikYeter’ said: “We all know they are Syrians. When they first came here they were just the husband and wife and now they are seven.”

‘Keloglan’ wrote: “This is stupidity of the highest order. If they did this in Europe, I am sure they would be severely punished.”
