Family Held Meeting On How To Dismember Body Of Pakistani Girl Who Refused Arranged Marriage

Court documents have revealed that the family of a Pakistani girl living in Italy – who was allegedly murdered after refusing an arranged marriage – held a meeting on what to do with the body and decided to chop it up to hide it from the cops.

The family of 18-year-old Saman Abbas threw her out on the street when she refused to participate in a forced marriage.

After throwing Saman onto the streets, her family tracked her down and her uncle, Danish Hasnain, 33, allegedly strangled her to death and then with help from the rest of the family buried her body in the city of Reggio Emilia in northern Italy on 30th April.

Italian authorities spent months searching for the girl’s body but still haven’t located it, however, the investigation has made some headway into clearing up what happened to Saman.

According to Radio Norba, documents from the Bologna Review Court show that the Abbas’ family held a meeting on 30th April to discuss how they were going to dismember her body after killing her.

Local news site Il Mattino said one relative, name not reported, suggested: “We should chop her into small pieces and then throw them away.”

A conversation between Saman and a community support officer was also released where the victim said she begged her mum to understand that the man she was supposed to marry was far too old for her and that she was terrified.

Saman also said that her dad beat her when she said she wanted to go to school because he believed she should not be educated.

On the day she told him she would not enter into the arranged marriage, he reportedly attacked her and threatened to stab her.

Prosecutors also said that one of Saman’s cousins, Ijaz Ikram, 28, who is currently in prison for murder, volunteered to dig a hole where Hasnain planned to dump the body.

After killing the girl and dumping the body, the family allegedly gathered together and congratulated each other on doing a ‘good job’.

According to reports, Danish Hasnain fled the country after the murder and is thought to be hiding in Pakistan along with the girl’s parents Shabbar Abbas, 46, and Nazia Shaheen, 47, and cousin Nomanulhaq Nomanulhaq, 33.
