A farmer’s dog in northern China is apparently so incredibly loyal to its owner it even goes with him to help out with daily farm duties.

The owner – named Mr Chao in local media in Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia – regularly shares footages showing his dog is not just man’s best friend, but his best co-worker too.

In the videos – on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok – the diligent pooch can be seen lending a paw to pull and break apart large bales of hay to be fed to his master’s livestock.

The border collie seems so eager to help get the work done quickly that it even tries to unwrap one large snow-covered bale on its own.

Mr Chao said his dog is incredibly intelligent and is always very enthusiastic about helping out with daily farming chores as the pair set out to the cattle pen in his truck.

And after all the work has been completed for the day, the two jump back inside the vehicle, where Mr Chao pats his helper on the head for a job well done before returning home.

Netizens seem to love the videos of the diligent pup.

User ‘Temu and Tate’ jokingly commented: “It can work better than my wife.”

And user ‘all as desired’ said: “Sometimes dogs are so sensible that it hurts.”
