The devastated family of the 8-month-pregnant woman found stabbed and hung from a tree have laid her to rest during an emotional funeral.

The body of heavily pregnant Tshegofatso Pule, 28, was found in a field in Durban Deep in the municipality of Roodepoort near Johannesburg in the South African province of Gauteng.

The beautiful South-African woman who worked as a make-up artist and dreamed of studying marketing was laid to rest by devastated family members.

The two-hour footage of the funeral show emotional scenes of the family gathered around her coffin, some shouting in anger and crying and singing together.

One family member, who has not been identified, can be heard shouting: “Whoever did this to you, God will deal with them accordingly. If I had to take the law into my own hands, I will kill those people myself.”

During a new report, journalist Manquoba Mchunu said: “The family are still looking for answers and no arrests have been made at this particular stage.”

The victim’s uncle, Tumisang Takate spoke to Mchunu saying: “We are devastated as a family,

“We were just about to welcome a new member into the family, but that will never be.”
Takate told the reporter that the victim received a call from her boyfriend saying they should go and buy baby clothes for their unborn child, she left the house on Thursday night and that was the last time the family saw her alive.

“When she didn’t answer her WhatsApp messages that’s when the family started being concerned.

“When we arrived at Florida police station, the police told us a missing persons report had already been opened by one of her friends and the police told us they were already interrogating her boyfriend at that time, the details of which I cannot share because the investigations are still ongoing, but it’s safe to say that he is not arrested at this time.”

The uncle went onto say that they don’t know who the murderer is, but that there is footage from the complex as she left and her boyfriend took her to the jeep that was supposed to bring her home.

According to local media, Katake is a defence attorney for a convicted murderer Sandile Mantsoe who was sentenced to 32 years in prison for killing victim Karabo Mokoena.

Katake reportedly said: “Tshego is Karabo today,” pledging to never again represent anywho who “rapes, kills, abuses and molests” children and women.

The investigation into the death of Tshegofatso remains open and it has not been confirmed by authorities if they have identified any suspects or not.
