This is the moment bright sparks flight from an electrical transformer -resulting in a bright blue light show – as a raging fire engulfs an entire textile market and burns it to the ground in a matter of hours.

Footage taken in the early hours of 20th November show the wholesale market in Fengtai County, which is in Huainan City in East China’s Anhui Province, burning brightly in the middle of the night

A distribution transformer next to the market lets out bright sparks and loud cracks of electricity as the blaze engulfs it and causes a local power outage.

According to reports, the fire raged quickly through the market that mainly sells textiles such as clothes, curtains and bedsheets.

The county fire service is said to have spent several hours putting out the flames, which is believed to have begun in one of the stalls after hours.

The entire premises was set ablaze in a matter of hours and found razed to the ground the next morning.

As the market was closed at the time, no casualties have been reported.

However, the precise cause of the fire is still unknown and subject to an investigation.
