This is the moment a cop attempting to jump over a flaming bar as part of a parade falls straight into the blaze and catches fire as onlookers scream.
The incident took place during activities to celebrate the 109th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution in the municipality of Cunduacan, in the southern Mexican state of Tabasco and left the officer involved with second-degree burns.
In the video, two police officers can be seen kneeling in front of a burning raised bar when another cop, named in reports as Luis Alberto Rodriguez Jimenez runs up behind them to use them as a springboard to leap over the bar.
When Jimenez jumps off their back he does not reach high enough and lands on the burning bar.

Onlookers scream as the cop’s clothes catch fire and he tries desperately to put the flames out.
An onlooker then uses a fire extinguisher to put out the flames as Jimenez rolls on the ground. Local media report the cop was taken to Cunduacan Hospital with second-degree burns.
Local media the as a consequence of the accident the event in that area of the city was cancelled but the parade continued in other areas of the city.
