Electric Ciggie Explodes In Singers Face On First Ever Chug

This is the moment a Brazilian singer chugs on an e-ciggie for the first time and jumps back in shock as it explodes in his face.

Lelio Guedes, 45, a musician from Ceilandia in Brazil’s Federal District, said the incident took place at his home on 17th January, but he decided to share the footage now to alert others to the dangers of e-cigarettes.

In the home surveillance video, the e-cig is seen exploding in the singer’s face the moment he chugs on the end.

He then throws the object on the floor and it whizzes away in a shower of sparks.

Guedes told the news site UOL: “I’m not a smoker. I work at night and I always see everyone using electronic cigarettes. It has become a fad, right?

“I chose mint flavour because it is more refreshing. Little did I know it would turn into a trap…”

Guedes said he bought the item at an off-licence in Taguatinga and left it on top of a speaker in the living room for two weeks.

After deciding to enjoy a minty vape at night, the e-ciggie exploded on the first drag.

He said: “It was a huge scare. I never imagined this could happen. Then, while watching the video, I could see the cigarette already about to explode. It could have exploded on its own and set my house on fire. Or worse: I could have burned my throat and I would be unable to ask for help.”

The singer added: “Luckily, it went out. I was quick and dropped it. It could have burned my face, I could have lost a tooth, injured my throat, injured my vocal cords.”
