This is the moment cops working at a coronavirus checkpoint in Russia force cars to stop so that a mother duck and her ducklings can cross the road.

The footage was shot from a CCTV camera in Russia’s southern city of Krasnodar where police officers were checking the IDs of people coming into the city as part of the restrictions on movement during lockdown in the current pandemic.

One of the officers who is dealing with the traffic then spots the duck family off-camera, and let his colleague know, and they then stop to watch as the mother duck takes the opportunity when the road is clear to dash across the two lanes, followed by her ducklings.

One of the police officers in the centre of the road then moves a sign to make sure the traffic remains in place as the duck family finished the journey.

They reportedly made it safely to their destination on the other side, which was a pond that they managed to reach without further incident.
