Mohamad Aliff bin Aziz, better known by his stage name Aliff Aziz, is heard shouting: “Dad! They’re beating me up, dad! Dad! Help, dad!”

Reports said that he was trying to call his dad on the phone, but the officers would not let him.

According to a police statement, patrolling officers came across two men embroiled in a heated row at around 6.40am.

The officers repeatedly told the pair to calm down, but a 28-year-old male suspect who stank of alcohol refused to, according to the statement.

The report said the man was then arrested for causing a public disturbance while drunk, but he resisted and struggled violently.

The investigation is still ongoing.

In 2007, Aziz was crowned the youngest winner of the reality TV talent show ‘Anugerah’ at the tender age of 16. He has since gone on to record four studio albums.

He was recently accused of stealing one million IDR (55 GBP) and 300 USD (234 GBP) from Indonesian actress Raja Yunika Perdhana Putri in a hotel room, according to local media.

Earlier this year, the singer was involved in a high-profile divorce from 25-year-old Malaysian actress Bella Astillah after three years of marriage.

The couple has a two-year-old son together.
