This is the shocking moment a drunk hospital patient wakes up on a stretcher after a bar brawl and brutally attacks a nurse who comes to check on him.

The incident took place in the A and E department of Hospital of Cultures in the town of San Cristobal de las Casas in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas after the patient was reportedly stabbed in a fight.

According to local media, the patient, identified as 28-year-old Costantino Jimenez, was restrained on a stretcher and waiting to go into surgery for a stab wound to his abdomen.

However, as seen in the footage, he managed to release himself before attacking a female nurse who was coming to check on him.

Reports said that the patient was drunk and had been admitted with stab wounds following a bar brawl.

At the time, he reportedly had a severe abdomen wound and was waiting to undergo surgery.

In the video, Jimenez is seen kicking and lashing out at the female nurse before security guards rush to restrain him.

The nurse, named Maria Laura Vazquez Villalobos, was unhurt in the attack but reports said that a male nurse, identified as Jose Luis Vazquez de la Cruz, was injured.

There have been no further updates on the patient’s condition and it is currently unclear whether he has been arrested for the incident.
