This is the horrifying moment a six-year-old girl is seriously injured when a driver streams on his phone as he plays blaring rap music and rams her mum’s car head-on.

The driver’s footage shows his Audi A4 racing at high speed around the roads of Alatri, Frosinone province, Italy, on 9th September.

Deafening rap music blasts out of his sound system as he films himself powering around a wide bend.

But as he makes the turn, he seems to lose control and drifts onto the wrong side of the road.

He slams into the family’s Nissan Qashqai SUV at high speed, giving them no chance of escaping the crash.

The impact was so severe, according to local media, that firefighters were needed to extract the girl from the crushed vehicle.

Paramedics rushed her to hospital unconscious where she is recovering from “serious” injuries.

Her mother and older brother were also treated in hospital.

The family had been on their way home from a football camp session when the Audi hit them.

The police later named the Audi driver as Abdhelafid El Idrissi, 27, also known as Ivan Marocco due to his Moroccan roots.

Building site worker El Idrissi later tested positive for drugs and alcohol, according to local media, and is expected to be charged with dangerous driving and causing injury while drunk or drugged.

Police are also investigating his Instagram profile, where he regularly posted footage of himself racing through streets at 160 kph (100 mph).

The investigation is ongoing.
