This is the moment an out-of-control motorist crashes into a restaurant and slams into a cop standing in line to buy his lunch.

The incident was filmed in the Recanto do Sabor restaurant in the municipality of Sao Sebastiao located in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.

In the footage, several customers are seen standing in a queue in front of the counter as diners enjoy their meals at tables on one side of the restaurant.

The out-of-control driver crashes through the entrance and rams into a row of tables, sending at least one diner to the floor as queuing customers try to run out of the way.

The cop and two other people run into the swerving car’s path and are apparently rammed against a wall before the vehicle comes to a stop.

At the end of the video, the officer is seen getting to his feet and holding his right shoulder as the driver opens her door and immediately falls to the floor.

According to local reports, the emergency services were called to the scene and three people required medical assistance. Only the cop was taken to the Hospital Maria Auxiliadora in Gama with an injury to his right shoulder.

The police said the female driver was “very upset and cried a lot” after the incident.

Restaurant owner Roseneide Fernandes told local media that the driver has agreed to pay for the damage, adding: “It was a miracle no one was seriously hurt.”

“We are all trying to resolve everything as quickly as possible.”

The police in Sao Sebastiao are investigating the incident.
