This is the hunky clergyman who has been dubbed a “hot priest” by devotees at his church after appearing in a music video as Cupid.

The muscly clergyman, who would give ‘Hot Priest’ from BBC’s hit comedy ‘Fleabag’, played by Irish actor Andrew Scott, a run for his money, looks after five churches in the town of Valenca in the northern Portuguese district of Viana do Castelo.

The hunky priest, who could also double for James Bond star Daniel Craig, is 36-year-old Ricardo Esteves, took over the running of the five churches in the Portuguese region last month and quickly became known as “hot priest” by parishioners.

He also set tongues wagging by appearing in a YouTube music video for the local band Intenso where he played Cupid.

In the video’s story, the priest had a bow and arrows and wore white wings as he saved a young woman from a demon.

The music video, which shows Esteves coming out of the sea in a revealing wet T-shirt, has been viewed nearly 50,000 times on YouTube.

In the summer, his former parishioners in the municipality of Caminha organised a protest to stop him from being transferred to Valenca after 10 years there, according to local media.

Esteves was reportedly adored by his flock in Caminha, who also dubbed him ‘hot priest’, due to his love of motorbikes and going to the gym.

One devotee told local media: “Father Esteves was perfectly integrated into the church (in Caminha) and over the last 10 years he has brought a lot of disillusioned people back into the flock.”
