Detroit Woman Wins USD 100,000 Lottery Prize While Taking Break From ‘Tough Day’

A Detroit woman has won a USD 100,000 lottery prize while taking a break from a “tough day”.

Jamila McCaskill, 44, told Michigan Lottery officials: “I was having a tough day and took a break to relax.”

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Michigan Lottery dated 1st February saying that the “Detroit woman’s day took a turn for the better when she won USD 100,000 [GBP 81,655] playing the Michigan Lottery’s Diamond Payout instant game online.”

Jamila added: “I logged in to the Lottery app to do my Daily Spin to Win and then decided to play some games. As I was scrolling through the different games, Diamond Payout caught my eye, so I started playing.

“On only my second spin, the screen lit up and I knew I had won a prize. When I saw the prize amount of USD 100,000, I couldn’t believe it. This is by far the largest prize I have ever won, and it feels amazing!”

The Michigan Lottery Officials said: “McCaskill visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to pay bills and pay off her home.

“Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to USD 500,000 [GBP 408,090] instantly playing online. Players also may win prizes ranging from USD 1 [GBP 0.82] up to multimillion-dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online.

“Through its online platform, the Lottery offers players more than 175 different games with plays ranging in price from 5 cents to USD 20 [GBP 16.32].”
