Dead Young Girl In Bushes Was Raped Before Being Killed

The rape and murder of this young girl in Pakistan has shocked the country after she went missing at the weekend.

The child, identified only as ‘Madiha’, was found yesterday (Sunday) just a day after she vanished on Saturday afternoon at her home in Saro Khel village in Hangu District, at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.

Her age has been reported in multiple sources as between seven and nine years old.

Local media report that the youngster was raped and murdered before her body was dumped in bushes.

Meanwhile, family members and locals in the area blocked a road as a protest calling for justice for the youngster.

The demonstration ended after police arrived, according to local media.

The incident has sparked fury across the country with many netizens taking to social media to call for justice for the youngster.

In the hours after the news of the horrific incident emerged the hashtags ‘JusticeforMadiha’ and ‘HangtheRapists’ began trending in Pakistan.

Netizen ‘aeman_batool’ said: “Another day, another justice for trend! Won’t be the last if we don’t ensure the rule of law. #justiceformadiha #hangTheRapists”.

And ‘Abasmil’ added: “Everyone is requested to raise the voice [for] #Madiha and hang their killers immediately please.”

While ‘Garsanay’ said: “Are our kids safe? Not really we need more strict punishments for child abuse and sexual harassment. #JusticeForMadiha”.

And ‘RehanZeb21’ said: “Another tragedy. A 7-year-old Madiha girl was brutally murdered in New Surkhel, Hangu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. How long will this cruelty and brutality continue? In fact, our system is not capable of preventing such incidents. #justiceforMadiha”.
