This is the moment a grinning dad films his nine-year-old daughter driving his car despite the fact she can barely see over the steering wheel, and asks her to look at the camera and wave to the police before posting it online.

The shocking video was filmed on the road that connects the commune of Secu and DJ 606 C in Dolj, Romania and shared live on the man’s Facebook page last Tuesday (1st June).

According to the news site Observator the 37-year-old father, who was not named, wanted to show off his daughters driving skills to his Facebook followers after teaching her how to drive his manual Volkswagen.

The Observator reported that during the ‘driving lesson’, the man urged the child to accelerate saying: “Hello! Hello! I’m with my new driver! Wave to the camera darling.”

He then says: “Make sure you avoid that ditch. Keep your eyes on the road and push the pedal down.”

As the ‘driving lessons’ goes on he tells his daughter to: “Say hello to the traffic police. Tell them you want to get a driver’s license.”

All this time on the car’s back seat, another young girl, who was not identified, watches on seemingly unaware of the danger of the situation.

The footage was later deleted by the child’s father, but the images reached the local authorities.

He is now facing an investigation for entrusting a vehicle driven by a person known not to have a driving license.

The police notified the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection of Dolj, which started an investigation that could also lead to the dad losing his parental rights to his children.
