This is the moment a tractor driver is sent flying and left with leg injuries after overfilling a tyre on his vehicle in a garage and causing it to explode.

The explosive moment was captured on CCTV camera on the side of the building near the garage in Kumbetli village which is located in the Niksar district of the northern Turkish Tokat province.

The driver, who was not named and whose age was not given, had pulled into the garage in order to put extra air into the tyre using a powerful compressor.

Online commentators noted however that he seemed relaxed and did not appear to be checking how much was being put in before the tyre suddenly exploded.

The man is then sent flying back before managing to get to his feet and running away from the vehicle.

A short while later, he can be seen lifting his trousers to examine injuries to his legs caused by tyre fragments, and the footage was later shared online.

Commentators included ‘Evlad-i Osmanli’ who said: “This is the thing that I am most scared of. If you don’t know how to properly pump tyres, this can be the result.”

Another who left no name added: “It is a fact that you cannot simply put air into the tyres you want, there are rules on how many bars of pressure allowed, and anybody who doesn’t know should get it done by an expert.” 

And netizen ‘Comoloco’ commented: “Indeed, the man seems quite relaxed while doing it.”
